Diners:
Megan, Jim, Ron, John and Kim
Entrée:
Beijing duck pancakes – delicious succulent duck.
Mains:
Eggplant with spicy salt (eggplant chips (not crispy)) –
delicious.
Fish fillet Vietnamese style – least favourite dish of some
but still delicious. The batter was not
too thick, the fish was tender and it was piping hot!
AJ's Chicken, marinated deboned chicken with soya sauce,
ginger, chilli and shallots – this dish was described in the menu as "deep
fried" – while the chicken was not "deep fried" the dish was
still very good. The chicken was tender
and there were some nice traditional flavours with the soya sauce, ginger and
shallots. The chillies added some extra
punch! It was a nice clean tasting dish,
a lot like Hainanese chicken.
Steamed rice
Desserts: Fried
ice-cream for 3, some topped with caramel sauce and others with chocolate sauce
– lovely!
