My's at Weston 9 October 2019

















Present: Jim Karen, Ron, Megan

We had:

Prawn and Zucchini fritters for starters: Very unusual but they were okay. The noodles were a bit fiddly as they were deep fried and not really wrapped around the prawns in any way.  Not what we were expecting.

Crispy pork belly: This was chewy and had a nice sweetish sauce, but we wanted more crackling.

Curry duck: Nice but not outstanding, the kind of dish we could have had anywhere.

Chicken with vietnamese mint: This was the nicest.  The basil was good, but some of us thought better fresh than crispy.

Salt and pepper encrusted calamari: Okay but not impressive.  It was done in a batter so not really the usual salt and pepper that one would normally get.

We had 3 desserts and the bill for the 4 of us came to $161.  We had to check it and it was correct,  but found it was a bit more than we had expected for a meal of this kind.
