A nice change to go somewhere different, with a bunch of all new dishes.

All the entrees and mains were really great, except for the cauliflower, which was boring and bland.

The baklava dessert with green fairy floss on top was spectacular.

A great combination of dishes for the main courses. The tofu was far and away the most popular dish - it vanished quickly. All the rest were really good as well.

There was a variety of desserts, all very good and well presented.

The waiting staff were polite, attentive and efficient. The venue was full and so was quite noisy, but only from people talking.

The food was top notch - all dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. We were all very full at the end of a really enjoyable meal.

All the dishes were great. We were all very full, but there was still some room for dessert for some of us.

Desserts were mango pudding and ice cream and also sago mango pudding. Both were a refreshing conclusion to the repast.

Service was attentive and fast throughout the meal. A really enjoyable evening.

Sonamu Korean Restaurant in Griffith - 20 August 2025

Our first visit to a Korean restaurant (other than a Korean barbecue) for quite a few years. In a small shop front, but with a huge extra dining room out the back. Well lit and beautifully quiet - no extra music, just occasional voices from other guests. The staff are very attentive, know the menu well and are immediate with responses for our extra requests during the meal.

We sought guidance from the waiter and were happy with what we finally ordered. We got quite a range of dishes we'd not had before. The fried chicken and the beef bulgogi were the highlights. The fried rice was the least exciting dish.

The serving sizes were as big as we'd been promised. There was a modest amount of most of the main courses left over, which was happily packed in a container to take home.

We all had the sweet red bean pancake for dessert. It was not as interesting as we'd hoped, but it all still vanished anyway.
