The duck pancakes were a fabulous start.

The eggplant, scallops and pork belly were all excellent. The favourite of the night was the pork.

The sticky rice and coconut ice cream was quite ordinary. The rice was very dry and the coconut ice cream was boring.

All the food was superb. Beautifully presented.

The service was unfussy and discrete. Each course was served to all diners simultaneously. Each dish was briefly explained as it was served.

The noise level was high, but was not intrusive and was purely as a result of people talking. No additional music or other unnecessary noise.

A welcoming restaurant, for a great night.

You can never have too much duck.

 

China Tea house is always noisy but everyone seems to leave by 7:30-8pm and it becomes nice and quiet, just us.

We all really liked all the dishes. No special stand-up from the list but a regular with the group.
