Present: John, Karen, Ron, Andrew, Megan
Talked about: retirement, travels, usual stuff
We had:
Zucchini flowers with prawn and crab and tomato sambal
Crispy prawn and pork wontons
Twice cooked crispy duck
Chilli lemon Australian king prawns and baby squid
Teochau fragrant pork soy
roti.
The wontons were beautiful, had a mayonaise sauce. Zucchini flowers with the chilli sambal were
yum, great flavour, nice and crisp
The pork was tender but boring and dull.
Prawns and baby squid were lovely, with a fresh chilli lemon
flavour.
Duck, tender, beautiful, the chicken had a rich sauce and
the roti fabulous.
Kopi Tiam is reliable, different, always with something a
bit different. The flavours are mainly
Malaysian with that blend of Indian, chinese and thai. Service is quick, noise level a bit ho-hum,
decibels in the 70's. Tables are close
together and the restaurant was busy. We
always enjoy going there though.
