Trough according to Ambrosia

We are a group of Canberrans who have been eating out together for more than 20 years at mainly Asian restaurants, sometimes more upmarket places. The retirees amongst us also have a regular morning coffee group. This blog is primarily a record of where we went, what we ate and what we liked and didn't like. It's not intended to be an extensive and insightful review of each restaurant and each dish, hence comments are often limited to expressions such as "yum", which says it all for us.

Abell's Kopi Tiam Manuka - 12 June 2024

Jim,John,Karen,Kim,Ron.

All the main course dishes were excellent. Hard to pick a favourite.

Sticky date pudding, pandan pancake, sago pudding. All the desserts were also excellent.

A really enjoyable evening with great food.

Sapa Restaurant at Swinger Hill shops in Mawson 29 May 2024

We hadn't been here for a few years.

The menu is still much the same as before.

All the dishes were great. The pork belly was the favourite.

The sago pudding and banana spring rolls for dessert were good. The fried milk was described as "pleasant".

Everyone had a really enjoyable evening. A peaceful and quiet place to have dinner.
