Trough according to Ambrosia

We are a group of Canberrans who have been eating out together for more than 20 years at mainly Asian restaurants, sometimes more upmarket places. The retirees amongst us also have a regular morning coffee group. This blog is primarily a record of where we went, what we ate and what we liked and didn't like. It's not intended to be an extensive and insightful review of each restaurant and each dish, hence comments are often limited to expressions such as "yum", which says it all for us.

Lamsheds Yarralumla - 4 August 2021

Now this was another birthday, Megan's, last meal before lockdown? Special dinner, shared plates, didn't disappoint. Well worth tracking down this hidden gem in Yarralumla.

Forgot who was there...everyone except Andrew?

A bit of a surprise as this was suggested by Megan, we hadn't been before but it really stunned everyone because it was so good.

It must have been someone's birthday because we went back to Megan's place for dessert from Flute in Fyshwick which was rich and lovely. Plus to see the dogs.

Flavours of India Woden - 7 July 2021

In attendance were Jim, John, Karen, Kim and Ron.

This was for John's birthday.

All the dishes were really good - mostly old favourites. The eggplant and squid dishes were new. The pepper squid was quite a surprise - definitely the best dish of the night.

Mezzalira Civic - 16 June 2021

It was someone's birthday, I think Karen's and it was absolutely superb with fabulous wine supplied by Jim (as always). Can't remember anything else.....
