John, Karen, Kim, Ron.
We are a group of Canberrans who have been eating out together for more than 20 years at mainly Asian restaurants, sometimes more upmarket places. The retirees amongst us also have a regular morning coffee group. This blog is primarily a record of where we went, what we ate and what we liked and didn't like. It's not intended to be an extensive and insightful review of each restaurant and each dish, hence comments are often limited to expressions such as "yum", which says it all for us.

Flavours of India at Woden - 29 June 2022
It was John's birthday and this was his choice. So Jim brought along a really old bottle of wine, 1996 Penfolds Bin 389 which was superb. We saved John the embarrassment and didn't sing him a loud happy birthday unlike the table next door.
We had our favourite entree, sweet potato and spinach chat, and the rest of the meal was divided up into vegetarian and meat. Great combination of flavours, my personal favourite was the prawns but I only got one.
The dessert menu was limited but made up for it by the excellence of the gulab jamon with white chocolate mousse. Even though it was not soaked in syrup, the mousse made up for it.
Next dinner will be a bit depleted, Jim will be in the US and Megan in the Kimberly and Andrew is sending out vague hints he might or might not be in Canberra some time in July. We await with baited breath.
